We at Genda and Bodine Funeral Homes have a great appreciation to every family that we serve. The death of a loved one is never easy and there are a lot of details that need to be done. Our professional and caring staff will take care of or help you with all the details that are associated with the funeral process. Mark, Nathan and the rest of the staff are continuing to look for and implement new ideas and products to offer the families they serve.
Genda Funeral Home - Frankfort
The Genda Funeral Home is located on the north end of Main St. and was started in the 1940’s by L.E. Moore as a branch funeral home from his Rossville location. When L.E. Moore finished his funeral service career to the Clinton County families the two locations were separated and Luke Hartman purchased the Frankfort location. Luke served the Frankfort community until he sold the business to Wayne and Carol Frye. Wayne and Carol were extremely involved. In 1991 Mark J. Genda returned to Frankfort and purchased the funeral home from Wayne and Carol Frye.
Bodine Funeral Homes - Mulberry & Rossville
Our Bodine Funeral Homes are located in Mulberry and Rossville Indiana. The Rossville location is situated at the north end of city on St. Rd. 39. The funeral home was started by L.E. Moore in the downtown area of Rossville, L.E. later opened a branch location in Frankfort which is now Genda Funeral Home. Upon his retirement, he sold the Rossville funeral home to Leo and Mary Brown. Leo and Mary continued to operate downtown until a fire swept through that location. Leo and Mary then built the current location on the edge.
Our Mulberry location is located at 204 N. Glick St. and has been the site of a funeral home for many years. Started by the Clapper family, the firm was then owned and operated by Peanut Johnson. Leo and Mary Brown then purchase the Mulberry Funeral Home and Leo operated both the Rossville and Mulberry locations for many years as did David and Linda Bodine.
David and Linda were extremely involved and dedicated to community and to funeral service. In January of 2006, David and Linda approached Mark Genda and Nathan McCullough to see if they would like to purchase the funeral homes. David and Linda choose Mark and Nathan to be there successor after a number of years of service that they gave the Bodines. In May of 2006, Mark Genda and Nathan McCullough purchased both locations.
