Marlin LeRoy Welk
Marlin LeRoy Welk, 92, of Rossville, IN died at Milner Community Healthcare in Rossville on Tuesday, November 3, 2009.
He was born on July 11, 1917 in Minot, ND to parents Mervin D. & Ethel (Moore) Welk.
Mr. Welk attended Pyrmont School. He was a carpenter and worked with his father many years. He was later employed at Mulberry High School from 1964 to 1982 as custodian and maintenance worker. Marlin also farmed for 26 years.
He was a member of Middle Fork Old German Baptist Brethren Church.
He married Edna C. Cottrell on December 23, 1939 in Carroll Co., IN, and he predeceased her having passed away on August 27, 2007.
Survivors include One daughter, Marilyn Jane Welk (husband R.J.) Renicker, Rossville, One son, Eugene E. (wife Judy) Welk, Delphi, Two brothers, Floyd E. (wife Edith) Welk & Galen (wife Donnabell) Welk, of Rossville, One sister, Nellie Kessler, Rossville, One sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Welk, Delphi, 4 Grandchildren and 3 Step Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren and 7 Step Grandchildren as well as 4 Great Great Step Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by Two brothers, Robert & Charles ¡°Bill¡± and one brother-in-law, Marion.
