Dorothy J. Jackson
Dorothy J. Jackson , 81, of Rossville, died at her rural home with her caretakers Curtis & Cheryl Col on Thursday, December 10, 2009. She was born on November 29, 1928 in Frankfort, IN to parents Paul & Vernie (Metzger) Jackson.

She graduated from Rossville High School in 1946 and was a lifelong Rossville resident. She was employed at Purdue University in the payroll office for 34 years and retired in 1990. Although Dorothy had no children of her own, she was a mom and grandma to many.

She was a member of the Rossville Church of the Brethren where she taught several Sunday School classes, sang in the choir, and served as the church treasurer for several years. She was also a Member and Past Worthy Matron of the Helen Bonebrake Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and a Member of Red Hats Society. She loved to play cards and belonged to several card clubs and was an avid Purdue Fan.

Survivors include Nieces & Nephews: Larry (wife Judi) Jackson, Sanibel, FL, Kevin (wife Kathy) Jackson, Rossville, Mona Jo Jackson, Lafayette, Julie (husband Keith) Singer, Danville, IL, Several Great Nieces & Nephews & Several Great Great Nieces & Nephews as well as Special Friends ¨C Wanita Enoch, Sharon Hysong, Carolyn Mosson, Cheryl West, Esther Creamer, Maxine Roth & Gertie Butler.

She was preceded in death by one infant brother William & one twin brother, Donald.
