Lavonne Grace Chezem
Lavonne graduated from Rossville High School in 1933, and she was a homemaker. She was a wonderful wife & mother who enjoyed cooking for family & friends, playing the organ, quilting & sewing. She also enjoyed watching the Pacers & baseball & listened to high school and college basketball on the radio. She followed the academic, athletic, and musical activities of her grandchildren & great-grandchildren and enjoyed fishing every year in Michigan for 30 years with her husband Joe. She was a member of the Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church.
She married Joe Maxwell Chezem on November 4, 1939, in Mulberry, IN, and he predeceased her having passed on May 23, 1997.
Survivors include Two sons, Myron (wife Janice) & Carl (wife Donna) Chezem, both of Frankfort; Three daughters, Beth (husband Gary) Deboy, Rossville, Alta (husband Larry) Reed, Lafayette, & Rita Chezem (husband Floyd Fultz) Lafayette;
Eight Grandchildren, Kevin Deboy, Amanda Souerdike, Kent & Kyle Chezem, Amy Kossover, Gregg & Ryan Reed & Brenda Chezem; Three Step-grandchildren, Scott & Tad Kimmel & Julie Friedrich; Seventeen Great-grandchildren, Six step-great-grandchildren & one great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband & one brother, Wayne Mohler.

Lavonne Grace Chezem, 94, of rural Frankfort died at Milner Community Healthcare in Rossville on Sunday, December 27, 2009. She was born on April 24, 1915 in Clinton County, IN to parents Willis S. & Myrtle (Pickering) Mohler.
