Belva Lou Langston
Belva Lou Langston, 85, of Rossville, IN died at St. Elizabeth Medical Center on Wednesday, December 30, 2009. She was born on September 24, 1924 in Frankfort, IN to parents Alva & Cleo (Blystone) Louks.
Belva was a Clinton County resident all her life & has lived in Rossville since 1942. She was employed 13 years as L.C. Line Operator for P.R. Mallory in Frankfort, owned and operated Langston Tavern and Restaurant in Rossville during the winters, and worked for the Snooks Inn and later the Oyster Bar Restaurants in Matlacha, FL. She and her husband Raymond wintered in Matlacha, FL since 1980. She was thPast Mother Advisor for Rainbow Assembly #9 in Rossville, First Chapter Mother of the Rossville High School F.H.A., and was a member of Geetingsville Presbyterian Church and also attended Rossville Presbyterian Church as well as a member of Moose Lodge and Elks Lodge, both in Matlacha, FL.
She married Raymond R. Langston on September 1, 1940 in Florence, KY, and he predeceased her having passed on May 28, 2000.
Survivors include one son, Richard L. (Friend Nina Rogers) Langston, Frankfort; two daughters, Frances (husband Donald) Haan, Oklahoma City, OK. & Debby (husband Phil) Hodson, Flora, IN; One sister, Wilma Parnell, Lafayette; Ten Grandchildren and 21 Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Norman, one granddaughter & four sisters.
