Maxine Kingery
Maxine Kingery, 85, of Rossville died in her home after a short battle with cancer on Wednesday, March 24, 2010. She was born on September 25, 1924 in Mulberry, IN to parents Emerson & Anna Ethel (Briney) Gable.
She graduated from Rossville High School in 1942 and worked as a secretary for SS Kresge in Lafayette and K-Mart, retiring in 1971. She collected salt & pepper shakers, and she loved to quilt. Maxine had a strong Faith in God. She was a loving grandmother & great grandmother.
She was a former member of the Fair Haven Lutheran Church, and she was a member of Family Worship Center in Lafayette.
Maxine married Wayne Kingery on June 10, 1944, and he survives.
Survivors include her Husband Wayne of Rossville, 2 Sons & 1 Daughter¨C Jerry (Friend Jean Rosenbarger) Kingery of Delphi, Randy (wife Dixie) Kingery of Ockley, IN & Cathy J. (husband Randy) Hillyer of Lafayette, 3 Grandchildren ¨C Tony (wife Misty) Hillyer of Clarkshill, IN, Cassandra (fianc¨¦ Scott Murphy) Kingery of West Lafayette, Jason (wife Misty) Kingery of Cutler, 11 Great Grandchildren, Sister in law ¨C Barbara Gable of Rossville and Several Nieces & Nephews.
She was preceded in death by her twin brother, Max Gable, & one grandson, Joseph.
