Richard Lee Whitlock
Richard Lee Whitlock, 58, left from his house on May 8, 2010 to be with his beloved wife Thelma Jean Fultz whom he married January 15, 1977, and she went before him on March 6, 2009. Born on Oct. 8 1952, the son of the late Richard L Whitlock and his surviving mother Carol (Reddington) Whitlock of Mulberry.
He attended Clinton Prairie High School and later achieved his GED. Also took courses At Ivy Tech for HVAC. For many years he worked for the Norfolk & Western Railroad finishing his work career as a self-employed contractor. Richard enjoyed being outside gardening and spending time with his grandkids.
He leaves behind 2 daughters - Richlyn Lee Rice (husband Jason) and Jessica Ann Clawson (husband Scott) both of Lafayette, a brother - Max Whitlock (wife Sharon) of Mulberry and sister Mary Rodman of Charleston S.C. along with 3 grand children - Avery and Anden Rice, and Celina Clawson. He was preceded in death by a brother Alan Whitlock.
Services will be Tuesday May 11, 2010 at Bodine Funeral Home in Mulberry starting at 2:00 PM with visitation two hours prior. Burial will immediately follow in Fair Haven Cemetery in Mulberry
