Thelma O. Rutan
Thelma O. Rutan, 79, of Rural Lafayette died at St. Elizabeth East on Sunday, June 13, 2010. She was born on July 16, 1930 to parents Tresse & Esther (Schiery) Owens.
Thelma graduated from Mulberry High School, and she had helped keep her class reunions going. She worked at and retired from K-Mart, and was currently working at Meijer as a greeter where she had been employed for several years. She loved to go garage selling and playing bingo.
She married Gordon L. Rutan on January 4, 1953, and he predeceased her having passed on January 16, 2008.
Survivors include 5 Children: Todd Rutan (wife Michelle) of Lafayette, Tim Rutan of Colfax, Teresa Scott (husband Mike) of Frankfort, Tammy Russell (husband Steve) of Lafayette, Tracey Wortley (husband Brian) of Linden as well as 12 Grandchildren, 3 Step Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren and 3 Step Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her Husband, Gordon, and one Granddaughter, Natalie.
