Lois Evelyn (Metzger) Meador
Lois Evelyn (Metzger) Meador, 87, of Rural Delphi, near Pyrmont died at Clarian Hospital, Lafayette, on Tuesday, July 20, 2010. She was born on July 1, 1923 in Cerro Gordo, Illinois to parents Arthur E. & Marie Edna (Wagoner) Metzger.
Lois graduated from Cerro Gordo High School. She was first and foremost a homemaker, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed reading, cooking, flowers, traveling and puzzles. She retired from Dr. L.W. Lempke's office after 15 years as a nursing assistant. She was a member of the North Fork Old German Baptist Brethern Church.
She married L. Duane Meador on May 22, 1948 near Pyrmont, IN, and he survives.
Survivors include her Husband of Rural Delphi, 4 Sons: Stuart D. (wife Marilyn) Meador of Decatur, IL, Craig A. (wife Vickie) Meador of Rossville, IN, Roger L. (wife Connie) Meador of Cutler, IN, and Dennis E. (companion Cheryl) Meador of Frankfort, IN, 3 Sisters: Erma Metzger & Leora (Gilbert) Wagoner both of Rossville and Leona Selby of Pleasant Hill, OH as well as 9 Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by 1 brother, Robert Metzger & 1 sister, Velma Bean Zimmerman.
