Virginia C. Messick
ROSSVILLE -- Virginia C. Messick, 69, of 22 N. Delphi Road, died at 3:32 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2008, at Milner Community Health Care.
Born Feb. 10, 1939, in Frankfort, she was the daughter of the late Cleo C. and Olive Rowan Cameron. She attended Rossville High School and Indiana State University.
She married Robert Steffy in June 1958 in Pennsylvania. They divorced. On Oct. 5, 1990, she married Warren A. Messick III in Lafayette.
Mrs. Messick worked as a secretary at Purdue University in the physics department.
She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Lafayette.
Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Susan E. Steffy of Rossville; a son, Douglas R. Steffy (wife: Melissa) of Orlando, Fla.; and three stepsons, Warren Messick IV and Wyndal Messick, both of California, and Wesley Messick of Colorado.
Private family graveside services will be held at a later date at Rossville Cemetery. Surviving are a granddaughter, Meghan E. Steffy; 6 stepgrandchildren; 2 stepgreat-grandchildren; a nephew, Robert Cameron; and a niece, Donna Kay Hartman. Preceded in death by 2 brothers, William P. and Robert C.
