James B. Dyer

James B. Dyer, 71, of Mulberry, died at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2008, at the IU Medical Center.
He was born Nov. 26, 1936, in Lafayette Indiana and graduated from Brookston High School in 1954. His parents were Dale & Dorothy (Grandstaff) Dyer.
Mr. Dyer worked at Riefer’s Warehouse Furniture in Lafayette for 30 years. He volunteered at Abba’s Place in Mulberry and Served in Indiana National Guard. He enjoyed horses, fishing, camping and woodworking. He also loved dogs... especially his lab “Lady”.
James was a member of the Mulberry United Methodist Church, The Moose Lodge in Frankfort, Frankfort Historical Preservation Society
On April 15, 2000 he married Janice M. VanCamp and she survives.
He is survived by: Wife, Janice M. (VanCamp) Dyer of Mulberry; four daughters, Dierdra (Mike) Cox of Linden, IN; Michelle Dyer of Geetingsville, IN; Tina Dyer of Arizona; and Theresa (Bill) Patton of Mulberry, IN; one son,Todd Robinson of Mulberry; two sisters, Carolyn Stokes of Brookston & Judith Phillips of Delphi, IN; one brother, Dave (Jo) Dyer of Terre Haute, IN; 13 Grandchildren; 3 Great Grandchildren; several Nieces and Nephews.
He was preceded in death by one son, James Michael & one sister Marilyn.
Calling hours will be 2-5pm Sunday, March 30th at the Bodine Funeral HomeMulberry. Funeral Services will be Monday, March 31st at the Mulberry United Methodist Church at 11:00am with Pastors Dave Hummel & Leland McReynolds officiating. Burial will be at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Brookston.
