Dorothy Mae Mitchell
August 21, 1944 - April 26, 2008
Dorothy Mae Mitchell, 90, of rural Mulberry, died at Mulberry Health & Retirement Community on Wednesday May 7, 2008. Dorothy was born June, 23, 1917 in Clinton County, Indiana, and her parents were James & Chat (Bryan) Seigfried.
Dorothy attended Mulberry Schools, enjoyed gardening and cooking, especially making pies. She lived most of her life in the Frankfort & Mulberry areas. She was employed by Peter Paul Candy Co. in Frankfort for 18 years, retiring in 1976. She also worked at Brown Rubber for 8 years and Mulberry Dairy Bar for 5 years. Dorothy was a member of Mulberry-Jefferson Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include Daughter, Sandra Sue (Richard) Berry of Lafayette, IN; 3 Grandsons- Greg, Brad (Jenny) & Rodney Berry; 4 Great Grandchildren- Michelle, Jonathan, Grant & Rachel Berry; 1 Great Great Granddaughter- Elena Carver; Max (Marie) Seigfried of Rural Lafayette, IN.
She was preceded in death by her Husband, 3 brothers, John, Robert & Kenneth & 3 Sisters, Etta Metzger, Ilda Kelly & Emma Owens.
Calling will be from 1:00 -3:00 p.m. Saturday May 10th, 2008 at the Bodine Funeral Home in Mulberry, Indiana. Funeral Services are scheduled for Saturday also at the Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Bill Moore officiating. Burial will be at the Fair Haven Cemetery.
