He married Betty A. Haslet on January 6, 1940 in Lafayette, Indiana.
Leslie attended schools in Mulberry, and he worked for Indiana Public Service as a Meter Reader then a dispatcher, retiring in 1981. Had been a Volunteer Fireman for both Rossville & Mulberry for many years and njoyed fishing, yardwork and was a avid Cubs Fan. Leslie loved and enjoyed spending time with his family.
He was a member of the Mulberry United Methodist Church, was the Oldest living member of the Wildcat Conservation Club and was the former Mulberry Town Board President.
Survivors include his Wife of Mulberry; 1 Son – Ben Huffer of Lafayette, IN; 2 Daughters – Diana (Jim) Schutz of Mulberry, IN and Jennifer Leibenguth of Mulberry, IN; 1 Sister – Edna (Roy) Baker of California; Seven Grandchildren and Eleven Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by hisTwin Sister Mildred, Sister Mary, Brother Charles & one Granddaughter.

Leslie M. Huffer, 90, of Mulberry, died on Monday, July 21st, 2008 at the Mulberry Health & Retirement Community. He was born on June, 23,1918 in Clinton County, Indiana and his parents were Harvey L. & Lucy (Avery) Huffer.
