Shirley R. Nicewander
October 18, 1932 - August 2, 2008
She married Donald K. Nicewander on March 3rd, 1951, and he predeceased her having passed away on January 16, 1984.

Shirley was a life resident of Clinton County and lived in Mulberry since 1946. She retired in 1994 from the business office at Lafayette Home Hospital after 14 years. She also worked 14 years at the Meridian Standard Life Ins. Company in the claims dept. and formerly worked as a waitress in the Little Inn Restaurant in Jefferson for several years.

She was a membe of the Trinity Church of Mulberry, member and past secretary of the Mulberry Community Club, former member and past worthy matron of the Mulberry-Jefferson OES, member of the Madison Twp. Home Ec club and Mulberry Home Study Circle.

Survivors include 1 Daughter – Deborah A. (husband Daniel) Van Laere of Mulberry, IN and 1 Grandson – Todd Patrick Van Laere of Potamic, Maryland.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband & one daughter Catherine Buzzard.

Calling hours are Tuesday Aug. 5, 2008 from 4:00 - 7:00PM at the Bodine Funeral Home in Mulberry. Funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday Aug. 6, 2008 at 10:30AM at the Trinity Church of Mulberry with Pastor Merton Bobo officiating. Burial will be at the Greenlawn Cemetery.

Shirley R. Nicewander, 75, of Mulberry, died on Saturday, August 2nd, 2008 at the Mulberry Health & Retirement Community after a two year battle with cancer. She was born on October 18, 1932 in Clinton County, Indiana to parents John C. & Velma (Schumaker) Wolf.
