Melvin L. Dunk
Melvin L. Dunk, age 63, of rural Lafayette, IN died at on Friday, September 12th, 2008 at the Lafayette Home Hospital. He was born on March 10, 1945 in Lafayette, IN to parents Everett & Margie (Fisher) Dunk.
Melvin married Diana Shannon on July 24, 1969 in Pittsburgh, IN, and she survives him. He graduated from East Tipp High School in 1963 and worked for Skiles Electric most recently for 10 years. Before that he worked at Wise & Wise Farms for 10 years and was in the poultry business prior to that. He enjoyed farming and flying and was a former member of the Pittsburgh Church of the Brethren and former member of the Buck Creek Fire Dept.
Survivors include his Parents of Delphi, Wife of Rural Lafayette, 3 Sons – Tom (Shelly) Dunk of Lafayette,
David (Shelly) Dunk of West Lafayette and Mike (Heather) Dunk of Rural Lafayette, 1 Sister – Linda (husband Bob) Merkel of West Lafayette and 5 Grandchildren – Tyler, Courtney, Aiden, Ashley & Tanner.
