John M. Austin
He was born on February 7, 1931 in Cutler, IN to parents Maynard & Leafy (Miller) Austin. He married Anna E. Young on January 28, 1952, and she survives him.
John attended Rossville High School and later achieved his GED while serving in the Marines. He was one of the first Volunteer EMTs to start the Rossville Volunteer Ambulance Service, and he was a retired dairy farmer. He lived in Lakeland, FL since 1993 just returned to this area summer of 08’.
He was a member of the Grove Old German Baptist Brethren Church in Lakeland, FL.
Survivors include his wife of Lafayette, IN; 3 Sons – Jerry (wife Debbie) Austin of Rossville, IN, Jimmy Austin of Camden, IN and Jeffery (wife Cindy) Austin of North Port Charlotte, FL; 2 Daughters – Jane (husband Ralph) Clark of Chicago, IL and
Jenny Austin (husband Bruce Snider) of Lafayette, IN; 1 Brother – Joe (wife Beverly) Austin of Lakeland, FL; 5 Grandchildren – Elizabeth (Joe) Rotar – Lambard, IL, Nikki (Kyle) Pearson of Camden, IN, Krista (Dustin) Niglio of Cardiff, CA, Lynn (Ryan) Holloway of Eglin Air Force Base, FL & Jason Austin of Port Charlotte, FL, 2 Step Grandchildren, Kimberly (Kevin) Phillips & Tony (April) Snider both of Livingston, TN; 4 Step Great Grandchildren and 7 Great-Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his Parents & 1 Brother, Paul Austin.
