Ronald M. Simmons, 82, Indianapolis - formerly of Mulberry, IN died on Sunday, January 4th, 2008 at St. Vincent Hospital
He was born on October 10, 1926 in Buxton, NC to parent James Harmon & Viola Natalie (Merchant) Simmons. He married Hellen Downey on July 18, 1948 and she survives.
Ronald was a US Navy Veteran in the South Pacific from 1944-1946 & 1952 – 1953. He worked for Precision Grinder for Fairfield Manufacturing for 38 years, retiring in 1985. He was a Troop Leader for the Boy Scouts for many years and was a Former Member of the Mulberry United Methodist Church & the First Christian Church, Frankfort. He taught Sunday School at many churches, and he formerly lived in Mulberry, IN and Ocala, FL.
Survivors include his wife of Indianapolis, 2 Sons – Mark (Deborah) of Carmel, IN and Dale (Margo) of Indianapolis, IN, 1 Daughter – Gloria (Charles) Robinson of Mooresburg, TN, five Grandchildren and seven Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 1 son - Ray, 1 sister - Ora M. & 1 Brother - Robert.
