James R. Hall
He was born on August 4, 1925 in Frankfort, IN to parents Leonard & Marie (Hancock) Hall. He married Pauline G. Schutz on November 29, 1944, and she survives.

James attended schools in Frankfort and later attained his G.E.D. He was a veteran of W.W.II having served in the U.S. Navy stationed in the South Pacific where he piloted and maintained landing craft from 1942-1946. He was born in Frankfort then lived in Mulberry from 1967-2000 moving to Lafayette in 2000. He worked at Rea Magnet Wire for 19 years and retired in 1990. He later drove a rural paper route for the Journal & Courier. He was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Lafayette and a former member of the Mulberry Masonic Lodge and the Jefferson O.E.S.

Survivors include his wife of Lafayette, 1 daughter - Cindy A. Merkel ( husband Darrell) of West Lafayette, 1 brother - Ellis Leon Hall of Antioch IN, 5 grandchildren - Babette Erwin, Erica Hall, Christopher Hall, Molly Byrd and Ross Merkel, 4 great-grandchildren - Brandie, Ashley, Madison, and Christopher James.

He was preceded in death by: 1 son - William R. Hall and 1 granddaughter - Jerilyn Hall.

James R. Hall, 83, of 619 NN. 9th St. Lafayette Indiana died on Saturday, February 14, 2009 at the Indiana Veterans Home.
