Virginia K. Scheirer
Virginia K. Scheirer, 90, formerly of Mulberry died at Indiana Veteran's Home on Wednesday, May 20, 2009. He was born on Feb. 6, 1919 in Jay County, IN to parents Howard L. & Perla May (Spohn) Priest.

Virginia graduated from Poling High School in 1937, near Bryant, IN then attended Ball Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in 1941. She was a Licensed Registered Nurse for 52 years, and she was employed by Riley Children’s Hosp, Clinton County Hosp, Muncie Visiting Home Nursing Service and for 22 years at Clinton Prairie as the school nurse.

She was a member of the Mulberry Community Club, Mulberry Senior Citizens, Trinity Church of Mulberry, Registered Nurses Club in Frankfort, Edna Mills Home Extension & Clinton County Campers.

She married Everett M. Scheirer on December 26, 1943, and he predeceased her having passed away on June 20, 2005.

Survivors include 2 Daughters & 1 Son: Barbara K. Scheirer (companion John Madison) of Schreport, LA, Mrs. Edward F. (Mary Lane) Butz of Lafayette, IN, and Douglas M. (wife Judy) Scheirer of Tremont, IL, 9 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild.

She was preceded in death by1 Daughter, Carol Jean Scheirer.
